The Matrix Infinity SE 1.54 is another clone of the original Matrix Infinity range of PS2 mod chips. But the difference with Matrix Infinity SE 1.54 is that is now uses the latest Matrix Infinity firmware v1.54. One of the major improvements Matrix Infinity SE 1.54has over other Matrix clones is its better compatibility with DVD 9 games.
The Matrix Infinity SE 1.54 also has some improvements over the original Matrix SE, the main one being that now you can not change the settings in the config. menu so the chip will be safe from damage. There are a few clones of the Matrix Infinity floating around, Modbo. NH7 , Matrix Infinity SE and some more. The good thing about these chips is you are getting most of the functions of the original Matrix Infinity at the fraction of the cost. The down side is they are clones and you can't expect all the functions of the official chip in a clone.
With that said, these chips are extremely good value for money, if you are just happy for the chip to work as is, these chips will be for you. The Matrix Infinity SE 1.54 is compatible with v3 - v13 consoles. This includes the new PS2 Slimline. The Matrix Infinity SE 1.54 also has auto media detection for direct booting. Another great feature of this chip is all region DVD support. Matrix Infinity SE 1.54 also comes with a Diode fix for the PSTwo Slimline v12. Warning that the Diode fix is not a 100% solution for the PSTwo v12 syndrome. We advise for complete protection of your laser to install the SubZero fix only.
